Priest Mahaado
First and strongest of the priest whose job it is to maintain order during Pharaoh Atemu's reign. He is the owner of the Sennen (Millinium) Ring and his main monster (Or Ka as they call it in the Pharaoh's Memory Arc) is the Illusive Magician. When Thief King Bakura attacks the priest's holding the Sennen Items and soundly defeats them and Atemu's God Obilisk, Mahaado realises the he might be the only one who could defeat Bakura but only if he uses all his power to do so. After this battle he secretly decides to lead Bakura to a battle ground of his chosing and to eliminate him alone. He leads Bakura to a place where magicians have trained in the past knowing that he can use his full powers there without restraint, unlike in the palace. Finding that Bakura's Daibound has grown stronger since the last time they duelled, Mahaado resolves to use all his power to defeat him and to give his very life and soul to achieve this. When it seems likely that Bakura and Daibound will defeat him, Mahaado uses the last of his powers in a fusion, which combines his Soul (Ba) with the Ka of his Illusive Magician creating the powerful Black (Dark) Magician. He uses the combined powers of both to defeat Daibound before his soul is sealed away in a tablet as the Black (Dark) Magician. His final wish is to protect Atemu forever and he seems to be fulfilling this promise in the present.
Thief King Bakura
The main enemy of Atemu and the priest who holds the Sennen (Millinium) Items. He desires to own all the items in order to gain the powers of the Shadow Realm so that he can use them to take over the world. His main monster (Ka) is Daibound who growns more powerful as the hatred Bakura carries within his heart grows and who can steal the powers of any other monster he encounters in battle. Both times he and Mahaado duel, Bakura mentions that the Sennen Ring belongs to him and he claims it when Mahaado sacrifies himself in order to fuse his soul with his Illusive Magician. Seemingly, Bakura is defeated by this action but that's another story. The spirit sealed within the Sennen Ring currently held by Bakura Ryou is that of the Thief King Bakura and he still desires the items to control the world.
